Villages & Ports
Vathi
Vathi is the island’s main harbour and one of the prettiest ports in the Ionian. It’s a wonderful anchorage
or mooring stop, offering excellent tavernas, fresh seafood, ice-cream cafés and a scenic promenade
perfect for an evening stroll. The harbour is calm and sheltered, making it ideal for a peaceful overnight stay.
Spartochori
Spartochori is a stunning stop for our catamaran guests. From the sheltered harbour of Spilia,
a short walk or scooter ride takes you up to the hilltop village. Once at the top, you're rewarded with
panoramic views over the Ionian Sea and the surrounding islands. The village is filled with traditional
tavernas, narrow whitewashed lanes and friendly locals.
Katomeri
Katomeri is a quiet inland village with a slower pace of life. It’s a lovely place to explore traditional
Greek living.
Beaches & Bays
Meganisi has beautiful, secluded coves accessible mainly by boat—one of the reasons it’s so special on a
catamaran cruise. These peaceful bays are perfect for swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding and relaxing
on deck.
Atherinos Bay – Calm, clear water, excellent for paddleboarding and snorkelling.
Abelaki Bay – A favourite among skippers for its shelter and turquoise water.
Kapali Beach – Quiet, stunning swimming spot with vibrant blue and green hues.
Fanari Beach – A postcard-perfect pebble beach with exceptionally clear water.
Caves & Coastline
Meganisi is famous for its dramatic limestone coastline. The highlight is the enormous
Papanikolis Sea Cave, one of the largest and most impressive sea caves in Greece.
Conditions permitting, you can enter the cave on a standup paddleboard, where the water glows
a beautiful turquoise. It’s a must-see stop and perfect for photos.
Nature & Wildlife
The waters around Meganisi are calm and rich with marine life, making them ideal for snorkelling.
Guests may spot colourful fish, the occasional sea turtle and sometimes dolphins while cruising between
Meganisi and the islands of Kalamos and Kastos.
Food & Taverns
Meganisi’s tavernas are relaxed and traditional, offering fresh seafood, grilled meats and local wine.
Dining at a waterfront taverna is often a highlight of the cruise, especially
during sunset when the scenery is at its most beautiful.
