Kastos Island
Kastos is one of the smallest and most peaceful islands in the Ionian Sea, offering a truly authentic
and unspoiled Greek experience. With fewer than 200 residents, quiet stone-built villages and
pristine turquoise bays, Kastos is a favourite stop for our catamaran guests seeking relaxation,

Villages & Ports
Kastos Village
Kastos only has one village which is also the island’s main harbour, simply known as Kastos Village, is a charming waterfront
settlement lined with a handful of tavernas, cafés and local houses. The atmosphere is wonderfully
laid-back, and the port is calm and sheltered—perfect for an overnight stay on the catamaran.
Enjoy an evening walk along the promenade, stop for a drink at a waterfront bar or
sample traditional Greek dishes while overlooking the bay. The harbour’s simple charm and quiet
rhythm make it one of the most relaxing ports in the Ionian.
Beautiful Bays & Beaches
Kastos is surrounded by crystal-clear waters and quiet coves that are perfect for swimming,
snorkelling, paddleboarding and exploring by tender. Most beaches are accessible only by boat,
adding to the island’s untouched feel.
Diama Beach – A calm anchorage with vivid turquoise water, ideal for paddleboarding and snorkelling.
Abelakia Beach – Peaceful and sheltered, perfect for swimming.
Agios Emilianos – A beautiful chapel by the sea with amazing photo opportunities.
Blue Kastos Bay – A picturesque anchorage with bright blue water.
Sea Caves
The eastern coastline of Kastos features several small sea caves, carved naturally into the limestone.
On calm days, you can explore them by tender or paddleboard. The water is exceptionally clear and
takes on brilliant shades of blue inside the caves.
Nature & Landscape
Much like neighbouring Kalamos, Kastos is covered in pine trees and low vegetation, creating a lush,
green backdrop to the surrounding sea. Quiet footpaths lead to small chapels, hilltops and viewpoints,
offering peaceful walks with panoramic views.
The channel between Kastos and Kalamos is a common place to spot dolphins, especially in the early morning.
Food & Taverns
Kastos has a small number of relaxed and traditional travernas, offering fresh seafood, grilled meats and local wine.
Dining at a waterfront taverna is often one of the highlights of the cruise.
